Schwarz-Silber e. V., Club zur Pflege des Tanzsports, Frankfurt am Main, was founded in March 1949. Our Hofheim am Taunus section saw the light of day in December 1977. The former ‘Dance’ department of PSV Blau-Gelb Sossenheim was added in July 2006. In 2015, we were able to found a new department in Fechenheim with former members of TSC Calypso Offenbach e.V. joining us and also rent our own clubhouse on a long-term basis. Finally, in 2019, we crossed the Main to the south for the first time with a ballroom dance group in the Haus der Jugend in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen.
Today Schwarz-Silber has around 550 members, including around 180 active members in the ballroom dance groups, solo dance and discofox, around 230 active members of our tournament groups and around 80 children and young people in our groups for kids and teens.
We have a group to suit everyone. There are training groups for amateur athletes of all ages and skill levels on different days of the week in Frankfurt at the Bürgerhaus Bornheim, the Clubhaus Fechenheim and the Volkshaus Sossenheim. In Hofheim, we train in the town hall and in the Marxheim community centre.
For competitive dancers, we offer children’s and youth groups, separate groups for D+C classes and B-S class training for the main groups, as well as separate groups for the Masters class in Standard and Latin. Our tournament coaching team consists of Adrian Klisan, Sascha Karabey, Birgit Fehrmann-Koschier, Daniela Orasanin and Sandra Krenz.
Our Latin formation trains at the BiKuZ FFM-Höchst.
We offer dancing for children and hip-hop on Mondays in the Fechenheim clubhouse and on Wednesdays in the Volkshaus Sossenheim. There are also ballet and contemporary groups in FFM-Preungesheim on Mondays.
Our discofox groups and programmes without a dance partner, i.e. solo dance such as Dance to be fit in Sossenheim, round off the offer.
As a club for the cultivation of dance sport, we attach great importance to good, high-quality training, true to our motto. We want to teach dancing from the ground up. To this end, we have an experienced and committed team of trainers. Almost all of our coaches are trained and licensed by the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the German Dancesport Association. In addition to the group lessons led by them, free training is available on almost every day of the week, divided into the Standard and Latin sections, for practising and consolidating new skills. Training is even possible during the day at the desired time in the Fechenheim clubhouse.
Other events include the Mainhattan Dance Days tournament, practice evenings with flair in the Fechenheim clubhouse, dance tournaments or national championships in a sporting setting or our Advent dance.
